The i News has reported that a major cyber attack in August has resulted in missing patients’ records, safety being compromised, and medication doses at risk of being missed in the NHS. 

Dr Lizzie Toberty, DAUK’s GP lead, told i News:

“The NHS has historically underinvested in IT infrastructure and this sort of chaos is the inevitable result.

“As always, DAUK advocates for better, targeted resources to enable staff to deliver the care our patients deserve.”
