Medical training should not mean poverty

Current medical student funding is insufficient. Students can only borrow a maximum of £6,458 annually, forcing many into financial hardship while training to become doctors.

Our Campaign Demands

1. Full maintenance loans for medical students – Equal access to student finance
2. Access to NHS Learning Support Fund – Additional support for healthcare students
3. Review of travel and accommodation expenses – Fair reimbursement for placement costs

What We’re Asking For

• Immediate access to full maintenance loans for all medical students
• £5,000 non-means tested grant to support training costs
• Reflective travel and accommodation cost reimbursements that cover actual expenses
