DAUK on LBC radio with Eddie Mair: Should Christmas be cancelled?

DAUK President, Dr Samantha Batt-Rawden, appeared on LBC radio to speak about the danger of government plans to relax Covid restrictions over Christmas.

“We’re really worried about these plans. In fact, I think most doctors wanted to hear Boris Johnson say today that the lockdown needed to be extended over Christmas.”

“Ultimately is it really worth it to undo all of the hard work that the public have done over the year just for a Christmas dinner?”

“Our worry is that this has put the responsibility back onto the public instead of the prime minister making a brave decision to continue to protect the NHS”
