Further to our changes announced yesterday, we are delighted to be expanding our committee and opening up applications for three vacant positions. These are:
- Secretary
To file agendas, keep minutes of meetings, and eventually to look after the membership list. To assist with current and future campaigns and lobbying.
- Treasurer
To keep track of our expenses, keep track of our accounts (when we open them!), present accounts at AGM. To assist with current and future campaigns and lobbying.
- GP lead
To keep the committee informed of matters of interest to General Practice and to lead any campaigns pertaining to General Practice. To assist with current and future general campaigns and lobbying.
Although each position holds specific roles we expect that all officers will muck in with the lobbying and campaigning work that we do.
Applications are open to any UK doctor, or retired doctor, with a GMC number. If you are interested please email 200-300 words by Wednesday 16th May at 1800 detailing your experience and why you would like to join the committee. We would be particularly interested to hear from GPs, consultants, and anyone with lobbying or media experience.
