DAUK has worked with the Medical Journalists’ Association (MJA) to record a webinar to give doctors a greater understanding of how to work with the media.
The hour-long webinar is titled Doctor, meet the press: how to work with journalists.
It is hosted by MJA chair Shaun Lintern, health editor of the Sunday Times, and Emma Wilkinson, MJA vice chair and a freelance journalist specialising in health, medicine and biosciences.
They were joined by DAUK co-chair Dr Ellen Welch, a GP and author, and press officer Andy Mann.
The session covered all aspects of working with the media. This included what makes a story, protecting sources, and what a journalist might need from a source.
The webinar is for DAUK members, and you can join DAUK through our website.
