We’ll be publishing weekly articles, free to all DAUK members. Non-members can also read our content by subscribing.
If you’re a member but find an article is behind the paywall, please contact us with the email address you use for Substack and we’ll make sure you can access it. We’re still ironing out a few teething problems, so please bear with us.
We’d love to hear from members who have an article they’d like to contribute.
We welcome conversational opinion pieces written from a personal perspective, but we’re also happy to consider more structured or academic, referenced pieces.
Our preferred length is 800 to 1,200 words, although we’re flexible, so don’t let length put you off submitting.
Articles are not paid, but your work will be shared with DAUK’s large social media following and will help support our campaigning and organisational work.
Substack articles
While our regular Substack articles are free for members and paywalled for non-members, we also publish occasional free posts on topical issues.
We’re happy for authors to use AI-assisted tools, but the ideas and writing must remain those of the named author. Substack uses automated AI detection tools, which are switched on for our posts. AI should support your work, not replace your original contribution.
All submissions are reviewed by our editorial team. We may suggest edits or provide feedback where we decide not to publish.
