Relaxation of Covid rules was endangering Emergency Medicine, the government has been told. DAUK Vic-Chair Danny Bhagawati is quoted in the Independent spelling out just what the dangers are:
“Currently, multiple sectors are experiencing Covid-related absence since an abandonment of all precautions. Hospitals and GP surgeries are perilously short staffed and an ignorance of these realities means emergency care is being jeopardised and no headway will be made into the ever-increasing planned care waiting list.”
